Franky Wah
Born and raised in Yorkshire in northern England, Franky Wah makes electronic music that sits between melodic house, breakbeat, UK garage and techno with trance-tinged accents, favouring emotional synth lines and club-focused rhythms. He began producing in his late teens after a listening journey that ranged from West Coast hip‑hop to British house and dance music. His emergence became clear in the late 2010s with tracks such as “Change My Mind”, “Get Me High” and “Words”, which established a sonic language blending tension, melody and dancefloor impact. Across subsequent releases he has worked with established labels and pursued personal projects, and in 2019 he launched his own imprint, Shen. His path has also led to vocal collaborations — notably with Robinson and Jessie Ware — and to circuits where progressive house, melodic techno and more crossover formats intersect. An EP on Afterlife further signals his presence on UK club stages and within a broader European electronic music network.
