TEED

Under the name TEED, Orlando Higginbottom has been developing an electronic project since the late 2000s, rooted between London—where he was born in 1986—and Oxford, where he grew up. First known as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, TEED established himself with a sound that crosses house, UK garage, electro and indie pop, in a format where club production remains tied to songwriting. His early releases appeared on the Greco-Roman label with the EPs All in One Sixty Dancehalls (2009) and Household Goods (2010), followed by Prehistory and Prehistory II in 2011, before the album Trouble in 2012. After several years marked by singles, remixes and collaborations with Anna Lunoe, Bonobo, SG Lewis and Porter Robinson, TEED released the EP The Distance in 2021 and his second album When the Lights Go in 2022. His work alternates between vocal tracks, more ambient textures and dancefloor-oriented productions, with a consistent taste for clear melodic lines and elastic rhythms. Alongside his solo career, TEED has also produced for and co-written with other artists, notably Banks, Mark Ronson, Shura and Elderbrook.
