The Streets take A Grand Don’t Come for Free to the stage in full for the first time on 16 July 2026 at Alexandra Park, London. Mike Skinner revisits his 2004 concept album front-to-back, following the everyday saga that runs through the record: lost cash, tight friendships, a messy night out and the break-up that follows. The story rolls out track by track, from the rush of Fit But You Know It to the haze of Blinded By the Lights, before the quiet drop of Dry Your Eyes. Live, Skinner’s half-spoken flow and clipped hooks ride the blend of UK garage, rap and electronica that defined his early 2000s sound, letting the sharp details and one-liners land with the weight of the narrative.

Two decades on, this run-through spotlights the writing, sequencing and production that carry the album. The Streets present it as it was built to be heard: complete, in order, guided by Skinner’s timing and deadpan delivery, with the arc of the record shaping the night from start to finish.
