Giggs

Born in Peckham, in the south of London, Giggs rose to prominence from the mid-2000s in the British rap scene with dark writing, a slow and measured flow, and a deep voice that became one of the signatures of English road rap. Initially active around mixtapes and the SN1 collective he founded, he quickly broadened his audience with the track 'Talkin’ da Hardest' in 2007, followed by the album Walk in da Park in 2008. Giggs went on with Let Em Ave It in 2010, before evolving his format between albums and mixtapes, notably When Will It Stop in 2013, Landlord in 2016, Wamp 2 Dem in 2017, Big Bad... in 2019, Now or Never in 2020 and Zero Tolerance in 2023. His rap, rooted in London’s urban realities, stands out from grime by a heavier tempo, minimal productions and a frontal storytelling. Over the years, Giggs has also moved between different scenes of British and international hip-hop, with notable collaborations alongside JME, Kano, Dave or Drake, while remaining attached to the Peckham ecosystem and the SN1 identity.
