Francis of Delirium

Francis of Delirium will play Le Hasard Ludique on 15 September 2026. Based in Luxembourg, the duo brings together singer-guitarist-songwriter Jana Bahrich and drummer-producer Chris Hewett, delivering an indie rock informed by the ’90s—marked by melodic tension, abrasive riffs and more dreamlike passages. After the EPs Wading and The Funhouse, the project expanded with Lighthouse in 2024, driven by tracks such as Real Love, First Touch, Blue Tuesday and Give It Back to Me, two of which were co-produced by Catherine Marks. On stage, the songs remain direct and tightly arranged, leaving room for a subtle pop sensibility to breathe.

On vocals, guitar and songwriting, Jana Bahrich—born in Vancouver and now based in Luxembourg—leads the project in English. Her fascination with grunge shows in a guitar style that hooks without overplaying, clear melodies and introspective lyrics. She crafts a sonic material that unsettles indie rock while retaining accessible contours.

On drums, Seattle expatriate Chris Hewett provides a dry, mobile rhythmic backbone, inheriting influences from Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The pair formed in an almost familial way and honed their sound on the road, from European venues to festivals, sharing bills with The 1975, Soccer Mommy, Horsegirl and Kings of Leon. At Le Hasard Ludique, Francis of Delirium will present their songs with a straightforward energy, balancing taut intensity with nuanced light-and-dark dynamics.
