feeble little horse

Born into Pittsburgh's DIY scene in Pennsylvania, feeble little horse has been developing since 2021 a noisy indie rock that mixes noise pop, shoegaze and slacker rock, featuring short songs, saturated guitars, abrasive textures and often detached vocal lines. The project initially formed around Sebastian Kinsler and Ryan Walchonski, joined by drummer Jake Kelley, before Lydia Slocum came in on bass and vocals; feeble little horse then operated as a trio. After the EP modern tourism released in 2021, feeble little horse issued Hayday the same year on Philadelphia label Julia’s War — the record was reissued in 2022 after signing with Saddle Creek. The band broadened its audience beyond the local circuit while remaining tied to the independent aesthetic of Pittsburgh and the U.S. East Coast. In 2023 feeble little horse released Girl with Fish, which pushed further the contrast between immediate melody, dissonance and bursts of saturation. A performance hiatus for health reasons followed that year, before returning to live shows in 2024. In 2025 feeble little horse released the single This Is Real, then added a third album to its discography with bitknot in 2026.
