Chloe Slater
Born in Bournemouth, England and based in Manchester, Chloe Slater has since 2023 been developing indie rock writing driven by guitar, in a direct vein where post-punk energy, alternative pop and lyrics anchored in social and political questions intersect. Chloe Slater emerges with the singles 'Sinking Feeling!' and then '24 Hours', a track that quickly attracts attention for its satirical look at screen and image culture. This approach continues on the EP You Can’t Put a Price on Fun, released in 2024, then on Love Me Please in 2025, two short formats that establish a tense, melodic and upfront universe, between incisive choruses and observations on social class, feminism or online representation mechanisms. Initially trained in Bournemouth before pursuing studies in Manchester for a time, Chloe Slater is part of a new British scene of guitarist-songwriters attentive to reality and contemporary uses of indie pop. Her trajectory passes as much through networks as through the stage, with notably opening acts and growing visibility in the United Kingdom, while Riot Youth, announced for 2026, marks a new step in Chloe Slater's development.
