Zaoui

Formerly the voice and lyricist of Thérapie Taxi, Raphaël Faget‑Zaoui now performs solo under the name Zaoui. He presents French pop that blends direct choruses, dancey synths and electronic touches. With frank lyrics, a rhythmic speak‑singing, intimate stories and raw feeling, his songs look closely at reality and get straight to the point, with hooks that stay in your head.

On stage, Zaoui relies on energy and closeness, the result of years spent touring venues. Guitars and machines trade lines, the beats make you move without overpowering the words, and the tracks alternate between synth-driven ballads and bursts of energy designed for singing along. The live show strikes the right balance between rock edge and club pulse, and leaves room for clear, unpretentious songwriting.

At Espace Julien in Marseille, on January 14, 2027, Zaoui will perform his new material alongside already familiar songs, in a set crafted for the stage—precise and alive. Another step for a project that carves out a direct, sensitive and effective Francophone pop groove.
