Info
At Le Summum in Grenoble on 19 November 2026, Hiba Tawaji invites Ibrahim Maalouf to a Franco-Lebanese stage meeting focused on voice and trumpet. Trained in Beirut between conservatory and the stage, Hiba Tawaji has built a repertoire where Levantine pop intersects with orchestrations close to classical music, jazz and chanson. After appearing on The Voice in France and later playing the role of Esmeralda in Notre-Dame de Paris, she now moves between songs in Arabic and French, with a writing and arranging approach that highlights melody, breath and the dynamics of both choir and orchestra.
A trumpeter and composer, Ibrahim Maalouf has shaped a language blending jazz, Levantine heritage and chanson, nourished as much by his collaborations for visual media as by his tours and collective projects. His practice places dialogue at the center, between singing themes, orchestral textures and spaces for improvisation.
On stage, their universes naturally come together: polished arrangements, intimate passages, instrumental bursts, and a constant back-and-forth between Arabic and Francophone repertoire. The concert is conceived as a musical conversation, with two voices and a single trumpet.
