Ibrahim Maalouf

Ibrahim Maalouf, born in 1980 in Beirut and established in France since childhood, has developed a singular trajectory rooted in family heritage, rigorous training and multiple projects that have taken him from conservatories to international stages. Trained by his father, Nassim Maalouf, and later in the classes of Maurice André, he won several competitions in his youth that secured his reputation as an outstanding musician on the French scene. From the early 2000s, Ibrahim Maalouf multiplied collaborations in film, theatre and song, before gradually releasing a series of recordings that established him as a prolific creator: Diasporas (2007), Diachronism (2009), Diagnostic (2011), Illusions (2013), Kalthoum (2015), Red & Black Light (2015), followed by a number of significant projects through the 2010s and 2020s combining orchestral formations, stage creations and artistic encounters. He also works as a composer for film and stage directors, which has led him to advocate a transversal vision of the profession, open to transmission and dialogue between disciplines. In the same years, Ibrahim Maalouf established a constant presence on tour, in France and abroad, with concerts in major venues and numerous festivals. Committed to the idea of cultural circulation, he pursues collaborative projects, regularly takes part in collective creations and develops pedagogical work for young musicians. In parallel, he founded his own label, Mi’ster Productions, which allows him to manage his releases while supporting other artists. Over more than twenty years of career, Ibrahim Maalouf has consolidated a unique position on the contemporary scene, balancing personal projects, collaborations, film and image compositions and educational initiatives, building a sustainable path anchored in creation and the circulation of ideas.
