Dylan John Thomas

Born in Glasgow in 1997, Dylan John Thomas emerged from the Scottish singer-songwriter scene with a repertoire where acoustic indie-folk meets straightforward pop songwriting, catchy melodies and a hoarse voice with distinctly British phrasing. He began writing at a young age, taught himself guitar and spent several years busking on Glasgow’s streets — an experience that shaped a seemingly simple style focused on fingerpicking, clear choruses and songs grounded in everyday life. Discovered as a teenager by Gerry Cinnamon, who later invited him to tour the UK and Europe, Dylan John Thomas quickly broadened his audience and also opened for Liam Gallagher. After the single “Nobody Else” in 2019, he evolved his approach with “Jenna” and “Feel the Fire” in 2021, his first releases on Ignition Records, resulting from a collaboration with producer Rich Turvey. His trajectory continued with the EP Dylan John Thomas in 2021, EP2 in 2022 and the album Dylan John Thomas in 2024, while appearances at TRNSMT, The Great Escape and Reading have confirmed his place on the UK live circuit.
