The Royston Club

The Royston Club are an indie‑rock quartet from Wrexham, Wales, formed through the friendship of Ben Matthias, Tom Faithfull, Dave Tute and Sam Jones and a shared taste for rousing anthems. They first attracted attention with self‑produced demos and broke through with the single “Coasting” in 2021, which went straight into the UK vinyl top 10. Their signature is immediate melodies, nervy riffs and sincere songwriting that captures the momentum of a generation. Debut album Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars peaked at #16 in the UK, confirming their rise and taking them from sold‑out shows to Glastonbury and Rock en Seine — even earning unexpected support from Ryan Reynolds. With Songs for the Spine, a second album praised for its maturity and intensity, The Royston Club open a more assured chapter, fuelled by an incandescent indie‑rock sound built for the stage.
