The Reytons

Formed in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, in 2017, The Reytons comprise Jonny Yerrell on vocals, Joe O'Brien on guitar, Lee Holland on bass and Jamie Todd on drums. The quartet plays guitar-driven English rock, close to indie and garage rock, characterised by direct songwriting, tight rhythms and an aesthetic rooted in everyday British social life. The Reytons first attracted attention with a series of independent releases: the EPs It Was All So Monotonous and K.O.T.E. in 2017, followed by Alcopops & Charity Shops in 2018. In 2021 they issued the EP May Seriously Harm You and Others Around You, and the same year their debut album Kids Off the Estate was released. They continued in this vein with the self-released albums What's Rock and Roll? (2023) and Ballad of a Bystander (2024), which extend their blunt, concise approach to contemporary rock. Very active on the UK live scene, The Reytons also affirmed their local roots with a large concert at Clifton Park in Rotherham, documented on the live album Clifton Park (released 2024).
