Arkayla

Based in Manchester, Arkayla first attracted attention with a string of singles that established the band on the UK independent scene. Arkayla develops a taut, melodic songwriting style anchored by layered guitars, crisp choruses and an occasionally hazy atmosphere that places their music between alternative rock, indie rock and touches of dream pop. The project moves forward with a distinct group identity, fed by varied influences from the musicians but refocused around a shared taste for guitar textures and narrative lyrics. As releases followed, Arkayla also built its live trajectory, delivering an energetic live format that complements this both direct and enveloping aesthetic.
