The Snuts

Formed in Whitburn, West Lothian, Scotland, The Snuts grew out of the local circuit before finding a place in the British indie scene of the late 2010s. The four-piece alternative rock band favors a direct songwriting style that sits between indie rock, pop-rock and edgy guitars, with melodic choruses, vocals marked by a Scottish inflection and a group energy designed for live performance. After a string of independently released singles and EPs, The Snuts rapidly expanded their audience through a steady touring schedule and appearances at several UK festivals. Their debut album, W.L. (2021), extended that formula by combining rock tension with more accessible song forms; Burn the Empire (2022) pushed the band toward a denser, more front-facing sound; Millennials (2024) broadened production to include pop and electronic textures while retaining the guitar–bass–drums core. The Snuts thus operate at the intersection of British indie, stadium-scale rock scaled down to human proportions, and alternative songcraft, without abandoning a compact, collective approach to songwriting.
