Unprocessed

Formed in Wiesbaden, Germany, Unprocessed has been developing a modern progressive metal sound since the mid-2010s, at the intersection of djent, technical rock and more melodic textures. Centered on guitarist and vocalist Manuel Gardner Fernandes, the band first honed its language on the albums In Concretion (2014) and Perception (2016), noted for complex structures, highly rhythmic riffs and a taste for contrasts between dense passages and more atmospheric sequences. With Covenant (2018) and Artificial Void (2019), Unprocessed pushed further into polyrhythms, fractured tempos and detailed textures, while allowing more room for clean singing and catchier vocal lines. The album Gold (2023) further accentuates this blend of technical metal, subtle electronic influences and elements borrowed from contemporary pop and R&B, establishing Unprocessed on the progressive metal circuit in Europe and beyond through club and festival tours and an active online presence with playthrough and song‑breakdown videos.
