Cane Hill

Formed in New Orleans in 2011 around Elijah Witt and the Barnett brothers, Cane Hill settled into a stable lineup in the mid-2010s. The band initially belonged to the local metal scene and gained broader visibility with the Cane Hill EP in 2015 and with Smile in 2016 on Rise Records. The American quartet developed a sound that blends nu metal, metalcore, alternative metal and industrial touches, featuring heavy riffs, staccato rhythms and vocals that alternate between upfront aggression, spoken-word and more melodic passages. Cane Hill refined this identity on Too Far Gone (2018), then partially moved away from it with the darker, more acoustically textured EP Kill the Sun (2019). Having become independent at the end of the 2010s, they followed with the EPs Krewe de la Mort, Vol. 1 (2021) and Krewe D’Amour, Vol. 2 (2022), before returning to the album format with A Piece of Me I Never Let You Find in 2024. Over the years Cane Hill has toured the American and European hardcore and metal circuits, sharing bills with bands such as Bullet for My Valentine, Killswitch Engage, Motionless in White and Of Mice & Men.
