Ninho
Shaped by the rap scene in Essonne, William Nzobazola, known as Ninho, born in 1996 in Longjumeau to a family from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, emerged in the mid‑2010s with a strand of French rap steeped in trap, autotuned melodies, and a pronounced taste for the mixtape format. After several self‑released projects and online freestyles, Ninho reached a new milestone with the 2016 mixtape “M.I.L.S,” paving the way for his debut studio album “Comme prévu” in 2017. He followed up with “M.I.L.S 2.0” in 2018 and “Destin” in 2019, where his writing oscillates between technical ego‑trips, narratives of neighborhood trajectories, and more introspective cuts. Ninho continued this run with “M.I.L.S 3” in 2020 and the album “Jefe” in 2021, consolidating an aesthetic built on dark or atmospheric instrumentals, sung hooks, and a flow adaptable to collaborations with other artists from the Francophone scene. Highly active as a guest feature and on festival and arena stages, Ninho holds a central place in French rap of the 2010s and 2020s.
