From Nogent‑sur‑Oise, French singer and rapper KeBlack belongs to the wave of urban music that blends melodic rap with African influences. Of Congolese origin, he began releasing tracks online in the mid‑2010s and drew attention in 2016 with the song “J’ai déconné,” boosted by social media and urban nightlife. Signed to the Bomayé Music label, KeBlack has developed a style situated between afrotrap, urban pop and sounds reminiscent of Congolese rumba, with a strong use of singing, catchy choruses and lyrics focused on relationships, partying and the everyday life of French‑speaking urban youth.
