Jungeli
Born in Sevran in Seine-Saint-Denis to a family of Congolese origin, Jungeli has emerged on the francophone urban scene by blending afropop, urban pop and Afro-Caribbean influences. The Jungeli project publicly took shape in 2023 with a first single, "À moi", and gained wider notice that year with the afropop track "Petit génie", built around a repetitive vocal melody and danceable rhythms, featuring contributions from artists such as Alonzo, Abou Debeing, Imen Es and Lossa. For production, Jungeli teamed up with DJ Willis, already active with several rap and French pop acts, which quickly placed Jungeli within a network of cross-genre collaborations between rap, R&B and Afro music. The trajectory continued with "Katana", a duet with Emma’a, "C’est qui ?" with Big Ben, and then "Rashel", where Jungeli explored a more romantic vein alongside Belgian-Moroccan singer-producer Dystinct. In 2024 Jungeli followed with the single "T’étais où ?", recorded with Vegedream, Alonzo and Zaho, while expanding his repertoire internationally through an Italian remix of "Petit génie" with Rhove and Germo67. At the same time, the duet "Évidemment" with Dadju confirmed Jungeli’s focus on songwriting centered on romantic relationships, personal trajectories and group dynamics, carried by a mix of melodic singing, catchy choruses and verses rooted in contemporary urban culture.
