The Avener
Under the name The Avener, French producer and DJ Tristan Casara, born in Nice in 1987, has crafted an aesthetic at the crossroads of melodic deep house, electronic pop, and folk and blues influences. Trained on piano as a child before cutting his teeth as a DJ in Côte d’Azur clubs, The Avener honed the art of reinterpreting existing songs, transforming them into electronic tracks with moderate tempos and melancholic atmospheres. His rework of Phoebe Killdeer’s “The Fade Out Line,” released as “Fade Out Lines” in 2013, brought him an international audience and paved the way for the 2015 album “The Wanderings of The Avener,” where reimagined standards sit alongside vocal collaborations. Established on the European electronic scene, The Avener has turned out numerous remixes and productions for other artists while pursuing his own projects. In 2020, the album “Heaven” extended this hybrid approach—between structured songs and more instrumental formats—and confirmed The Avener’s tilt toward melody-driven house, organic textures, and a prominent use of vocals.
