Asaf Avidan

Israeli singer, songwriter and performer Asaf Avidan rose to prominence in the 2010s with the track "The Reckoning Song", which quickly became a hit. Born in 1980 in Jerusalem, Avidan travelled between the United States and Jamaica before returning to Israel to study art. He later formed the band Asaf Avidan & the Mojos with other musicians, releasing the album "The Reckoning" in 2008. The band followed up a year later with "Poor Boy/Lucky Man", and released "Through the Gale" in 2010. Avidan then turned to a solo career, issuing the solo album "Different Pulses" on the Polydor label in 2012.
