Synapson

Formed in Paris in the late 2000s, the duo Synapson explores a territory between house, electronic pop and Afro-influences, with a marked focus on vocals and melodic arrangements. Behind Synapson are two French producers who develop a sound that blends club rhythms, warm keyboard lines and more organic textures, often enriched with brass and percussion, in an aesthetic close to melodic deep house and so-called "feel-good" electronic music. The project drew attention on the Parisian scene with a series of EPs and remixes before releasing the album Stendhal Syndrome in 2012, which established Synapson in the French electronic landscape. The cover of “Djon Maya Maï” with Victor Démé, followed by the album Convergence in 2015, marked a step forward with greater emphasis on vocal features and crossings into soul and pop. With Super 8 in 2018, Synapson extended this approach by alternating tracks made for the dancefloor with more radio-friendly songs. On stage the duo navigate between DJ sets and expanded live formats, appearing in clubs and at festivals, while multiplying collaborations with singers from pop, soul and various African scenes, anchoring Synapson in an electronic register open to exchanges between urban music and world music.
