Parra for Cuva

A project by German producer Nicolas Demuth, born in Göttingen and based in Berlin, Parra for Cuva has, since the early 2010s, been crafting melodic electronic music situated between deep house, downtempo and ambient. After early EPs on independent labels, Parra for Cuva came to prominence with the 2013 track 'Wicked Games' alongside Anna Naklab, ushering in a period of touring and residencies across the European club scene. The 2015 album 'Majouré' laid the groundwork for a sound in which supple rhythms, delicate textures and contemplative harmonies take center stage, followed by the collaborative mini-album 'Darwīš' with Senoy in 2016. With 'Paspatou' in 2018 and 'Juno' in 2021, Parra for Cuva further emphasized motifs drawn from world music, repetitive piano lines and processed guitars, within a more narrative electronica aesthetic. 'Mimose,' released in 2023, continues this weaving of house-leaning structures, cinematic ambient and neoclassical influences. On stage, Parra for Cuva alternates between electronic live sets and hybrid formats, performing in both clubs and festivals while maintaining a steady pace of releases and one-off collaborations within the European electronic scene.
