Reinier Zonneveld

Born in Alphen aan den Rijn in 1991, Reinier Zonneveld emerged on the Dutch electronic scene with fast, dense and hypnotic techno, heavily informed by acid techno and by musical training that began early at the piano. While studying econometrics in Rotterdam, he discovered rave parties and started producing his own tracks in the early 2010s. His long-format releases include Reverse Psychology (2013) on Illegal Alien Records, Megacity Servant (2016) on Stil vor Talent, Church of Clubmusic (2019) and Heaven is Mad (for You) (2023), both released on his label Filth on Acid, which he founded in 2017. From the mid-2010s he became a regular presence on Dutch techno stages, notably at Awakenings, before expanding to the European club and festival circuit. His work is distinguished by stretched structures, progressive tension builds and a live approach in which tracks evolve in real time, between direct pulse, acid motifs and darker melodic lines.
