Charlotte de Witte

Born in Ghent in 1992, Charlotte de Witte has developed a career rooted in direct, minimal and dark techno, marked by fast rhythms, acid lines and a taste for long, hypnotic builds. Initially active under the alias Raving George, she made a name for herself on the Belgian electronic scene before reverting to her real name in the mid-2010s and steering her production toward a more rigorous, stripped-down sound. Notably, she released the EP “Weltschmerz” in 2015 on Turbo Recordings, which established her signature between industrial techno and melancholic atmospheres, and she followed with regular releases on various specialized labels. At the same time, Charlotte de Witte multiplied DJ sets across major European and international stages — from intimate clubs to festivals dedicated to contemporary techno — maintaining a very linear mixing style focused on energy and rhythmic tension. In the late 2010s she developed KNTXT, a platform manifested as events, a radio show and a label, enabling her to structure her artistic universe, release her own productions and support other producers’ projects within a coherent techno aesthetic aligned with her approach as a DJ and producer.
