Axel Boman

Based in Stockholm, Axel Boman emerged on the Swedish electronic scene in the late 2000s with a soft, melodic house sound threaded with disco, Balearic, downtempo and ambient. A producer and DJ, he came to attention in 2010 with the EP Holy Love on Pampa Records, then co‑founded the label Studio Barnhus with Kornél Kovács and Petter Nordkvist, creating a space where house, techno and more experimental formats intersect. His debut album, Family Vacation, was released in 2013, followed by Luca in 2019. Between club‑oriented tracks and more contemplative pieces, Axel Boman has developed a style built on muted rhythms, floating melodic lines and a marked taste for subtle shifts. His trajectory also includes Talaboman, a project with John Talabot whose album The Night Land came out in 2017. In DJ sets he has for several years moved between clubs and European festivals in a house and leftfield register that gives ample room to atmosphere.
