Space Dimension Controller

Under the name Space Dimension Controller, producer and DJ Jack Hamill has been developing since the late 2000s an electronic universe strongly influenced by science fiction, located between Belfast and the wider European scene. Space Dimension Controller builds futuristic narratives around imaginary worlds such as Mikrosector‑50 or Tiraquon, threads that run through both his releases and his DJ sets, oscillating between electro, slow house, melodic techno and ambient with funk inflections. His early maxis on independent labels quickly led him to R&S Records, where this hybrid aesthetic was honed — fed by retro synths, rounded basslines and spatial textures. The concept album Welcome to Mikrosector‑50 (2013) formalized this narrative approach, followed by Orange Melamine (2016), which reworks adolescent recordings into a more lo‑fi, introspective vein. With Planète Love (2021), Space Dimension Controller extends his taste for cinematic atmospheres toward a more direct songwriting, close to romantic electro. On stage he alternates immersive live sets and club formats, maintaining a constant link between the dancefloor, storytelling and accessible electronic experimentation.
