Monolink

Berlin-based German producer and singer-songwriter Monolink develops a project where electronic club culture meets songcraft. Behind the moniker is Steffen Linck, a musician trained in guitar and vocals, who channels these elements into an electronic idiom that blends melodic techno, deep house, and folk influences. Active on the Berlin scene since the mid-2010s, Monolink drew attention with the EP The End in 2015, followed by Burning Sun in 2017, establishing an aesthetic built on hypnotic rhythms, slow-moving basslines, and prominently featured vocals. His debut album, Amniotic (2018), solidified this approach by favoring tracks constructed as songs rather than mere DJ tools. With Under Darkening Skies (2021), Monolink broadens the palette toward a darker, more cinematic electronic sound while retaining the central role of guitar and voice. On stage, Monolink favors a concert-oriented live format centered on vocal performances, progressively evolving electronic textures, and tempos designed for both club and festival settings.
