Ben Böhmer

Born in 1994 in Göttingen, Germany, Ben Böhmer first honed his musicianship at the piano and in jazz before turning to electronic production. Based in Berlin, he broke through in the mid‑2010s on the deep house and progressive house circuit with a string of EPs that brought him to the British label Anjunadeep, with which he has maintained an ongoing collaboration. His debut studio album, "Breathing" (2019), set out a melodic, atmospheric aesthetic built on lush pads and structures designed as much for attentive listening as for the club; he extended this path in 2021 with "Begin Again," which furthers the approach through more narrative work on textures and vocals. Active as a producer, remixer, DJ and live musician, he stands out for performances built around real‑time reinterpretations of his own tracks, presented both in clubs and on platforms for concert recordings—most notably a 2019 set filmed in a hot‑air balloon over Cappadocia for Cercle. Appearing on numerous European and international stages, he aligns with a strand of melodic house that weaves together ambient, electronica and gentle techno, and he regularly collaborates with singers and producers of his generation.
