Tinlicker

Formed in Utrecht, the Netherlands, the duo Tinlicker brings together producers Micha Heyboer — who is also active with Black Sun Empire — and Jordi van Achthoven in a project centred on melodic house and progressive techno. Born in the early 2010s, Tinlicker initially grew through a series of EPs and maxi singles released on various electronic imprints before becoming established within the Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep sphere. The project is characterised by progressive structures, a strong emphasis on melodic lines and frequent use of pop or atmospheric vocals, in a register borrowing as much from contemporary trance as from deep house. Tinlicker later shaped its discography around studio albums such as This Is Not Our Universe (2019) and In Another Lifetime (2022), which continue this blend of club rhythms and accessible melodic songwriting. Present on club and festival stages across Europe and North America, Tinlicker adapts this electronic format live to an aesthetic focused on immersion and the continuous progression of the tracks.
