Ours

Originally from the Paris region, Charles Souchon, who performs under the pseudonym Ours, created a distinct project centered on simple, melodic songwriting, often led by guitar and sparse arrangements. His debut album, Mi, released in 2007, established a world that blends light tones with observations of everyday life; it was followed in 2011 by El, which continued this acoustic pop vein with more developed work on sonic textures and harmonies. Ours has performed extensively in venues and festivals across France and francophone countries, where he presents a compact repertoire focused on his songs. Occasional collaborations, notably with British singer Lily Allen, have also marked his career and reinforced his place within francophone pop open to Anglo-Saxon influences.
