Rival Consoles

Rival Consoles is the stage name of British producer Ryan Lee West, from London, active since the late 2000s. He released his first full-length, IO, in 2010 and followed with Howl (2012), Shivers (2015), Persona (2016) and Articulation (2018), before issuing Night Melody in 2020 and Overflow in 2022. Known for a handcrafted approach — a home studio, analog gear and carefully produced releases — Rival Consoles has developed a steady discography rooted in a cycle of autonomous creation. He also collaborates with the BBC, contemporary music labels and visual or interactive projects that expand his field of activity. Since his debut he has played numerous dates across Europe, the Americas and Asia, alternating solo performances and live-band re-orchestrations, and sustaining his trajectory through regular releases that each sit within a considered continuity.
