Laurent Bardainne

Born in 1975 in Fougères, Laurent Bardainne has developed a career as a saxophonist, keyboardist and composer that moves between jazz, improvised music, pop and more electric formations. He founded Crépuscule des Dinosaures and took part in several notable projects on the French scene, co-founding Limousine with Maxime Delpierre, Rigolus with Thomas de Pourquery and Poni Hoax with Nicolas Ker. His early years are also tied to free jazz, having won third prize at the Concours de la Défense with his duo alongside drummer Philippe Gleizes. A member of Supersonic, launched by Thomas de Pourquery, Bardainne has simultaneously pursued writing and arranging work, leading him to a wide range of performance contexts. In 2017 he formed the duo LOST with Camélia Jordana, and in 2018 he created the quartet Tigre d’Eau Douce, focused on a jazz nourished by groove, organ, bass and percussion. After the single “Marvin” and an EP released in 2019, he issued the album Love Is Everywhere with this project in 2020, followed by Hymne au Soleil in 2022.
