All Them Witches

Born in Nashville, Tennessee, All Them Witches established themselves from 2012 as a rock band blending psychedelia, stoner, blues and folk influences. Founded around Charles Michael Parks Jr. (bass, vocals) and Robby Staebler (drums), later joined by Ben McLeod (guitar) and keyboardist Allan Van Cleave, the band developed a heavy yet atmospheric songwriting style, with long instrumental sections and a strong taste for onstage improvisation. Their first album, 'Our Mother Electricity', was released in 2012, followed by 'Lightning at the Door' in 2013, which placed them on the North American psych-rock scene, and 'Dying Surfer Meets His Maker' in 2015, recorded in a sparser setting. Signed to New West Records, All Them Witches followed with 'Sleeping Through the War' in 2017, produced by Dave Cobb, and 'ATW' in 2018, which emphasized the balance between heavy riffs, hypnotic mid-tempos and more acoustic passages. The band was a trio for several years before Allan Van Cleave returned; they have toured clubs and festivals across Europe and the United States, consolidating a world where 1970s psychedelic rock, modern textures and a jam-oriented approach intersect and where songs can vary greatly from one show to another, culminating in the 2020 album 'Nothing as the Ideal', recorded at Abbey Road.
