Truckfighters

Formed in the early 2000s in Örebro, Sweden, Truckfighters is part of the European stoner rock scene as a trio centered on Oskar “Ozo” Cedermalm and Niklas “Dango” Källgren, backed by a succession of drummers. The band developed a sound marked by heavily saturated riffs, a heavy groove and straightforward melodic lines, midway between the 1970s hard rock legacy and contemporary desert rock influences. After several demos and self-produced EPs, Truckfighters released their debut album Gravity X in 2005 on their own label, Fuzzorama Records, followed by Phi in 2007 and Mania in 2009, which confirmed an aesthetic oriented toward long formats, dynamic variation and repetitive structures. The discography continued with Universe (2014) and V (2016), where the band honed a more direct songwriting approach while retaining a massive guitar tone and a prominent bass. Active on club and festival circuits dedicated to stoner and psychedelic rock in Europe and beyond, Truckfighters were also the focus of the documentary “Fuzzomentary” (2011), which chronicles their touring life and evolution within the scene.
