Bury Tomorrow
Formed in 2006 in Southampton, England, Bury Tomorrow play a brand of metalcore that blends aggressive riffs, prominent melodies and a mix of screamed and clean vocals. The band drew attention on the British scene around the turn of the 2010s and consolidated its catalog with several studio albums that helped define its identity: «Portraits» (2009), «The Union of Crowns» (2012), «Runes» (2014), «Earthbound» (2016), «Black Flame» (2018), «Cannibal» (2020) and «The Seventh Sun» (2023). Across these releases Bury Tomorrow honed a balance between typical metalcore structures, melodic-death influences and accessible choruses, while maintaining a dense rhythmic foundation. Line-up changes — notably the arrival of guitarist Kristan Dawson in 2013 and the additions of Tom Prendergast and Ed Hartwell in 2021 — gradually steered the songwriting toward more melodic and atmospheric elements. Lyrically the band often explores resilience, inner tensions and contemporary social issues. They tour extensively across the UK and Europe, playing mid-sized venues and specialist festivals, which has cemented Bury Tomorrow’s place in the international metalcore landscape of the 2010s and 2020s.
