Any Given Day
Formed in 2012 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Any Given Day is part of the European metalcore scene, defined by a sound that mixes heavy riffs, pronounced groove and the alternation of powerful screams with melodic vocal lines. The band drew attention the same year with an online cover of Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” which helped them reach an audience beyond the traditional metal circle. The debut album, “My Longest Way Home” (2014), established a direct-structured metalcore in which choruses hook over very low-tuned guitars; “Everlasting” (2016) reinforced the band’s footing on club stages and during European support tours. With “Overpower” (2019), Any Given Day emphasized the contrast between massive passages, melodic elements and more atmospheric touches, while consolidating a regular presence at specialist festivals. The album “Limitless” (2024) continues this evolution by incorporating more open arrangements without abandoning the metalcore framework. In studio and on stage, Any Given Day relies on a classic band lineup and songwriting focused on rhythmic impact, pronounced breaks and sung choruses that shape their entire discography.
