Malive

Active between the Brazilian hip‑hop scene and electronic clubs, Malive first developed his identity as a producer in his teens within the national rap movement, providing instrumentals and collaborations for several artists from that scene—most notably Djonga’s "Olho de Tigre", a track frequently referenced in the context of anti‑racist struggles in Brazil. Over time he settled into the world of electronic music and steered his work toward house and its variants, with a marked taste for percussive grooves, melodic basslines and reworked vocal textures, all conceived for dialogue with the dancefloor. Now based in Brazil, the DJ and producer releases singles and EPs on labels such as Diynamic, MoBlack, DOC/Kompakt, Monaberry, Get Physical and Warner Music, while developing a remix strand in which he revisits the repertoires of major figures in Brazilian music, including Gilberto Gil and Guilherme Arantes. Malive’s tracks circulate widely in sets by house and melodic techno artists like Solomun, MEDUZA and Pete Tong, anchoring him in the international electronic landscape while maintaining a strong link to his hip‑hop and Brazilian roots.
