Clementine Douglas
Born in Birmingham, England, Clementine Douglas operates between house, electronic music and dance-pop, with vocal writing rooted in soul and songs crafted for both the club format and pop listening. Active since the mid-2010s, she initially played in Kudu Blue, a band noted on the British scene and booked for the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury in 2019. Her trajectory then became more established in electronic music through a series of collaborations with producers and DJs, first as an uncredited vocal on “Desire” by Sub Focus and Dimension in 2018, and later on tracks by Chase & Status, Dom Dolla, Hannah Wants, David Guetta and Morten, Sonny Fodera, MK and The Blessed Madonna. In 2022 BBC Radio 1 Dance named her Dance Vocalist of the Year, a recognition that accompanied her rising visibility. As a solo artist, Clementine Douglas released the singles “Riddles” and “True” in 2024, where her approach grew more personal while remaining tied to the house and electronic textures that run through her work. She has thus developed a repertoire centered on the voice, melodic choruses and production aimed at the dancefloor without losing a pop anchoring.
