Jazzy

Born in Crumlin, in the south of Dublin, Yasmine Byrne first develops her career under the name Jazzy Yaz within the group Powerful Creative Minds, active on the local scene between soul, pop and rap. From 2021, Jazzy moves toward a more club-focused register, laying her voice over house and dance-pop productions at a fairly brisk tempo, with vocal writing remaining close to R&B and melodic pop. Her breakthrough comes with Belters Only on “Make Me Feel Good” in 2021, then “Don’t Stop Just Yet” in 2022, two tracks that place her in the renewal of Irish and British dance. In solo, Jazzy then asserts an identity centered on accessible, energetic and luminous house, carried by the singles “Giving Me” and “Feel It” in 2023, the same year as her EP Constellations. Her career is also built through regular collaborations with producers and DJs from house and dance circuits, including Sonny Fodera, D.O.D, Jamie Jones, Alok, cassö or Rossi. In 2024, she continues with the EP No Bad Vibes, while tracks like “Somedays” prolong this line between dance-pop, vocal house and immediate choruses. Jazzy evolves today between solo releases, features and DJ formats, in a space that links the mainstream electronic scene to clubs.
