Toman

Emerging from the Netherlands' electronic scene, Toman has, since the mid-2010s, developed a body of work as a producer and DJ focused on a precise and dynamic house, at the intersection of tech house and a minimal aesthetic. He came to greater prominence in 2017 with his first solo EP released on Cyclic, Mihai Popoviciu’s label, before following up with Broodrooster, his first vinyl EP on we_r house, the imprint founded by Cinthie. His tracks circulated in DJs' selections across the European house scene, while he simultaneously built a steady presence behind the decks. In the Netherlands Toman has performed at events such as Awakenings and Straf_werk; internationally his career has taken him to clubs like Watergate in Berlin and Distillery in Leipzig, as well as to Zurich, Manchester and Bucharest. Through this trajectory, Toman belongs to a Dutch generation that favors taut grooves, supple rhythms and an attention to detail inherited from European house and minimal circuits.
