ANOTR

Based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, the duo ANOTR brings together two producers and DJs focused on a personal take on house and tech-house, blending percussive grooves, repetitive basslines and very stripped-down track construction. ANOTR first made its mark on the European club scene through a steady run of DJ sets and maxi releases, before shaping its universe around the No Art label and event platform, conceived as a space for their own productions and those of close collaborators. The project has gradually developed a sonic language that mixes elements of minimal house, funk inflections and fragmented vocal treatments, with particular attention to extended arrangements suited to long club sessions. ANOTR has drawn attention on festival stages and in clubs across Amsterdam, London, Ibiza and other European capitals, increasing duo bookings and receiving invitations to play at like-minded label and collective nights. In the studio as on stage, ANOTR favors tracks built around tight loops and a continuous dance dynamic, while gradually incorporating more melodic influences and occasional collaborations with vocalists and instrumentalists from the same scene.
