On September 18, 2026, Lovejoy lands at the Trabendo in Paris for a concert that exudes taut, melodic English indie rock. Formed in Brighton in 2021, the band brings together William Gold, Joe Goldsmith, Ash Kabosu, and Mark Boardman around nervy guitars, hooks that go straight to the point, and songwriting that is at once ironic and lucid, between the small tensions of daily life and somewhat disenchanted emotional narratives. After turning heads with the EPs Are You Alright? and Pebble Brain, followed by Wake Up & It’s Over in 2023, Lovejoy has made a habit of short, punchy formats tailor-made for the live stage. The band has also dabbled in covers (Los Campesinos!) and in more stripped-down versions of their early material, before racking up dates and festivals on both sides of the Atlantic. Returning from a hiatus, Lovejoy now promotes One Simple Trick, their first album released in 2025, with that direct energy that is their hallmark.
