Info
Madra Salach land in Leeds for a live set at The Leeds Irish Centre on April 6, 2027, bringing their Dublin-born take on Irish folk to the stage. Formed in 2023 and now a six-piece, the band moves between trad roots and a more contemporary, band-first drive: narrative ballads, familiar tunes, and that pub-floor momentum where melodies feel shared rather than precious. Their songs lean on the shapes and instruments of traditional Irish music, but they’re framed with modern songwriting and tight collective playing, built through nights in small North Dublin rooms before scaling up to festival crowds.
Expect a set that pulls from recent releases like the singles Blue & Gold and I Was Just A Boy, as well as tracks from the 2026 EP It’s a Hell of an Age. With their first album Gorta announced for 2027, this show catches Madra Salach at a moment where the tradition is fully alive, and the present tense is doing the steering.
