Cast will play on October 23, 2026 at the Electric Ballroom in London. Born in Liverpool in the early 1990s around John Power (formerly of The La’s), the band established itself in the Britpop wave without letting the label confine them: crisp guitars, direct melodies, catchy choruses, and songwriting nourished by British pop of the sixties as much as by English indie rock.
With the lineup stabilized early around John Power, Liam “Skin” Tyson on guitar and Keith O’Neill on drums, Cast delivered a string of standout releases from All Change to Mother Nature Calls, before widening their scope with Magic Hour. At the turn of the 2000s, Beetroot opened the door to more soul, funk, and psychedelic colors, just before a first breakup. Reforming in 2010, the band hit the road and the records again, up to Love Is the Call in 2024, carried by the original core and an energy that remains straightforward, taut, and uncluttered.
