Info
Razorlight bring their ‘America’ 20th Anniversary Tour to O2 City Hall Newcastle, Northumberland Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8SF, United Kingdom, on 27 November 2026. Formed in London in 2002 around singer-guitarist Johnny Borrell with Björn Ågren, Carl Dalemo and later Andy Burrows, the band shaped the 2000s indie landscape with lean, melodic guitars pitched between garage rock and post‑punk revival, carried by a very British pop sense. Their catalogue runs from Up All Night (2004) and Razorlight (2006) to Slipway Fires (2008), Olympus Sleeping (2018) and Planet Nowhere (2024), avec des titres phares comme Golden Touch, Somewhere Else, In the Morning, America ou Wire to Wire. After years of line-up shifts and a pause, the classic quartet regrouped in 2021. This tour spotlights America as a milestone while drawing across two decades of songs.
The Molotovs open the night. Formed in London in 2020 by siblings Mathew and Issey Cartlidge and completed by drummer Will Fooks, the trio cut its teeth in the streets and on the UK rock circuit. Short, sharp tracks, a mix of punk rock, power pop, mod revival and new wave, and a steady run of gigs have taken them alongside The Libertines, Blondie, Iggy Pop, The Damned and members of the Sex Pistols. Signed to Marshall Records in 2025, they released the singles More More More, Today’s Gonna Be Our Day and Rhythm of Yourself, ahead of their 2026 album Wasted on Youth produced by Jason Perry.
