Jazzcore #1
Jazzcore is simple: live music all night long from international bands rooted in jazz. It’s like going to a club, but this time the sound comes from real instruments. For this first edition, we start with UK jazz and then move into sets with electro influences. See you on May 13, 2026 at 8:30 PM at La Bellevilloise.
That said, we’re not anti-turntables—far from it. Two areas are planned to alternate with selected DJs and producers: Pura Pura, with rap, club and jazz influences, and the BMM Records team.
Echt! (BE) / Live
There’s something happening in Belgium and Brussels—the so-called Brussels Sound. Jazz musicians with strong electro influences and a lot of emerging bands. Their common thread: Volta, how a squat turned into a hub for the new Belgian jazz/electro scene. We had to pick a band from that scene, so we chose Echt!
Knats (UK) / Live
You don’t know them yet—normal: they’re coming from Newcastle for their first date in France. Knats are five English musicians playing what they call “Geordie Jazz” (a nod to Geordie Greep, former member of Black Midi and a figure of the UK post‑rock scene). It’s experimental jazz. Their second album is released on May 1.
Minimal Midi (FR) / Live
Minimal Midi is a group from Paris’s new jazz scene. Some call it the “New Jazz French Touch.” With Giani Caserotto on guitar, Jérôme Arrighi on bass and Tao Ehrlich on drums. For fans of minimal techno and trance.
Pura Pura (FR) / DJ
Club edits and jungle remixes, with rap input and British influences that bring it close to UK jazz—French style. Originally from Montpellier and based in Paris, Pura Pura will deliver a special jazzy set for the occasion.
BMM Records / DJ
Nancy-based label BMM Records and its BMM DJ Crew, featuring among others DJ Hyperlax, Mahō Shōjo and sous tgv est. BMM offers jazz-focused selections from everywhere, including the Groove Dingueries series, to discover many bands with unpronounceable names. Sets that are hard to pin down—perfect for dancing outside the usual formats.
