Saligo

Active on the French electronic scene, Saligo develops a path at the crossroads of turntablism, hip-hop and club music. Four-time French DMC champion and world vice-champion in the scratch category, Saligo first established himself with a very technical practice of beat juggling and scratch, before expanding his activity to production and club DJ sets. This background led him to tour for several years alongside European groups, notably The Prodigy, while building a personal repertoire oriented toward more direct formats for the dancefloor. In his sets, Saligo blends fast energy, rhythms drawn from ghettotech and a strong hip-hop culture, with a nervous approach to mixing. In the studio, Saligo works a broader spectrum, between tracks cut for peak hours and rawer tracks, where percussion, taut basses and groove sense occupy a central place. His discography includes several solo releases, including a vinyl pressing published on the Portuguese label Ovelha Trax, and his productions circulate in varied club contexts in France as well as internationally.
