Active on the British electronic scene, Breaka develops work focused on the intersections between UK bass, breakbeat, drum & bass and UK garage influences. A producer and DJ based in the United Kingdom, Breaka began to attract attention from the mid-2010s with a series of club-ready maxi singles released on various independent labels and his own digital platforms. His productions feature broken, highly percussive rhythms, prominent basslines and often bright melodic motifs, allowing him to navigate as easily through fast, jungle-adjacent tempos as through more house- or techno-oriented registers. Over the years, Breaka has refined an aesthetic geared toward the dancefloor while multiplying remixes and occasional collaborations with other figures from the European club scene. Behind the decks, Breaka extends this hybrid approach with sets that blend his own productions, contemporary bass tracks and reworked classics.
